Maria has over 17 years of experience working in the academic and scholarly sector in various roles including publisher & vendor relations, product, account, business development, and senior management. She started in the industry managing the Title Information Department for the subscription agent, WT Cox Information Services and moved on to other roles with the organization culminating in Vice-President of Integrated Solutions. Maria most recently worked as Senior Business Development Manager at Research Solutions overseeing the go-to-market launch and as product owner of their newest product for academic libraries.

Maria has presented at various conferences and has been an active member of NASIG for over 12 years serving on various committees and the Executive Board. She has maintained a keen interest in library technology, standards and data over her career, including being a member of the ISO/TC 046/SC 09/WG 05 ISSN Revision Working Group Committee.
