Jessica Chesnutt is a digital publishing expert with experience across strategy, technology, editorial, sales, and marketing. She has spent over 17 years in scholarly and academic publishing, including over a decade at the world’s largest university press, Oxford University Press (OUP). Her career began at Bedford/St. Martin’s with an immediate focus on data-driven digital solutions to academic challenges. Since that time, she has specialized in digital product and platform development with a focus on solving the problems of users, researchers, authors, and partners.
For the past 10 years, Jessica has primarily focused on scholarly journals publishing, working closely with dozens of leading international societies across medical, scientific, and humanities disciplines. In her role as Product Business Partner at OUP, she worked to ensure the needs of journals and societies fed into digital product roadmaps, rolled out new platform features to users and partners, and shared strategic updates around usage, SEO, security, and more. She also has extensive experience with journals transitions and platform migrations, having assisted hundreds of societies in previous roles. Recognized as a world-class communicator, Jessica is an expert at translating complex topics into clear messages for any audience.
Jessica graduated from Smith College and holds certifications in product management, training, and project management.
