Move accommodates continued company growth and business expansion
Maverick Publishing Specialists has announced the appointment of Rebecca Rinehart (their current Senior Associate, Head of US Operations) to the role of Chief Executive Officer for the company. The move enables Maverick to accommodate its recent, rapid growth in clients, projects, and Associate consultants, and to further support its expanding business operations, worldwide.
As CEO, Ms. Rinehart assumes oversight and accountability for all commercial aspects of the company, including business development, account management, sales, marketing, and project support. This includes supporting the established and successful Maverick Business Development team including Becky Moakes, who manages Maverick’s EMEA commercial operations, and George Farina in the US.
Ms. Rinehart will report to Company founder, Martin Marlow, who remains President of Maverick and will now dedicate increased focus on managing the expanding company infrastructure, alongside further developing its global network of associate experts as well as strategic partnerships with key industry organizations and service providers.
Ms. Rinehart joined the company in 2018 and was promoted to Head of US Business Operations in early 2020. Her extensive industry experience encompasses all aspects of scientific, technical, and medical publishing across books, journals, periodicals, and digital.
She is the former publisher of American Psychiatric Publishing, a division of the American Psychiatric Association, and the world’s leading publisher on psychiatry, mental health, and behavioral science. Her other prior experience includes senior level positions overseeing publications at The Endocrine Society, Harper Row, and The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
