Maverick Publishing Specialists Ltd, announced today that the former Vice President of Content Enablement at Wiley, Alison Maclean, has joined the Maverick team of publishing industry experts as a Senior Associate.
Ms. Maclean brings extensive international industry experience with expertise in concept-to-market publishing operations, editorial, and content management. She has worked in many market sectors, including trade, education, reference, and professional publishing.
Alison will support Maverick clients across a number of different areas. These include helping to shape publishing programs; directing, scaling and optimizing content operations; and assisting in marshalling complex project portfolios to deliver significant benefits. Her particular strengths include bridging and balancing multiple stakeholder priorities, collaborative leadership, and clear thinking.
Most recently, Alison held the position of Vice President, Content Enablement at Wiley. Her brief included defining and executing strategic initiatives to manage operational cost, in addition to leading the global team responsible for process design, content technology, editorial standards, accessibility, data governance, vendor management, and KPI design and reporting.

Alison has previously served as professor and program director of Creative Book Publishing at Humber College (Ontario), guiding graduate students to best practices in book publishing.
